16. Hotel Rwanda

What caused two tribes of people who lived in peace for hundreds of years to build up hatred for one another? 
- The tensions between the Hutu and Tutsi peoples lead to a war in Rwanda because Tutsi people were told by the Belgians that the shape of their nose made them look more like white people and said that they were cooler and they are respected better which made the Hutu people very angry. They got angry because Tutsi were treated better then the Hutus because of their appearance even though they are the same.

What reasons do they describe for their dislike? 
- The reasons that they describe their dislike is because Tutsis are treated better and appreciated. 

How is the hatred spread? 
- The hatred was spread by radios, messengers and media. 

How do they justify the horrible things they do?
- President Habyarimana's plane was shot down, after that happened the Hutus started to attack

My total and total ownings

I've was late once for communications because I was getting help for Science, so I had an excuse slip. I missed one class but my nana called in to excuse me for my appointment. So i would give my self 97%.

I have completed all the assignments except for 2, which was the song that relates to me and the Gladiator response. I didn't do them because I really don't know what song relates to me and I really didn't get the whole persona thing. I would give my self 86% for that.

I Think I spend 98% of the time on task. Normally when I have lots on my mind, my mind starts to wonder, that sometimes happens a lot but I can control it.

In genius hour I've done a little bit because I haven't really thought of what else to other then learning about wifi. So I would give my self 50% for my genius hour effort.

I would give my self 80% on the assignments and 100% on being in charge of my self.

Over all mark I would give my self 85% in the class because I think I have tried my hardest to get things done.

14. Hamlet response

I relate to Hamlets story because I have also felt like everyone if against me but I have never thought about killing my self though. I have a step sister that lives with me that is two years younger then me but is appreciated by everyone. Anna is very responsible, she gets A's in every class, she has a job, she's very healthy and her mom lets her do whatever she wants. For her 14th birthday she got a really nice cell phone and for my 15th birthday I got a crappy cell phone. When I was 14 I was not allowed to stay home alone over night and I'm almost 17 now and Anna is 14 and is allowed to stay home alone over night.

I have been in a relationship for almost 2 years and I've lost all my friends. Not because I'm to attached to him, it's because my friends didn't really care about me to start and started to smoke and drink. I use to get phone calls at 2am from girls that use to be my friends and they would tell how I am worthless and no one likes me and my boyfriend and I should kill myself. My friends were never happy for me, they were always mad at me.

- If I got a tattoo, it would represent my mom. My mom past away almost 9 years ago and i want a tattoo that is something that symbolizes her.

4. Tell me the story of your "hypothetical" tattoo?
  I would really like to get two tattoos, one little one and one really big one. My mom was strong hearted, lovely and so beautiful. I want a tattoo that is strong hearted, lovely and very beautiful just like her. I was thinking either her name or just mom really small on my wrist. This tattoo will show how much I miss her and love her and how she was the best mom ever. I was also thinking of getting a dream catcher with tulips around it because I have dreams about her all the time and tulips are her favorite flower. The dream catcher helps get rid of bad dreams, which sometimes I have bad dreams of my mom and I'd really like to have good dreams of her. I would like it to be big on the side of my thigh. The dream catcher will be bright colors, like reds and blues.

I give my self a G because I am very polite, I interact positively with my peers, I am responsible for my own learning. I come here with a positive attitude and ready to learn.

During class I don't like to waste time but sometimes I will get distracted, but I try to remain on task. I complete assignments and homework as scheduled. I come to class everyday on time, I'm always here and never late. I come to class prepared with my laptop everyday. So thats why I gave my self a G.

11. Poem response

               Poem Response

  Yesterday in class, we discussed a poem called "Be the change you wish to be." In the two first lines of the poem, it says "Eyes in the skies up so high, A.I. is deaf to hopeless cries." A.I stands for artificial intelligence which is a theory and development of computer systems that can perform tasks that normally require human intelligence. Eyes in the skies up so high refer to me as cameras everywhere, watching your every move, especially in Vancouver. The reason why they have cameras especially in Vancouver is because there are lots of violence and drug use down there which should be monitor at all times. The only thing about the camera's down there is that they are watched after the action, which is what the "A.I is deaf to hopeless cries" line in the poem means. This organization is called Big Brother,      which taking total control of people's lives. I understand that they do this for the right reason's, but its still invading privacy, therefore I don't like the Big Brother program.

In my personality test I scored ESTJ (Overseer), and I feel most of it is right. It says I am responsible, finisher, decisive, norm following, respects authority, punctual, hard working, stiff, self confident. Some of the careers that are shown for me are teacher, police, manager, Nursing Administrator, writer and editor. The real ESTJ people that came up are mostly presidents like Andrew Jackson, George W bush, Grover Cleveland, James Monroe, Lyndon B. Johnson and William Henry Harrison. My favorite that came up in my results is Sam Walton the founder of Wal-mart.
